Mushroom Biryani



Ingrediants :
  • Mushroom - 400 gm
  • Basmati rice - 2 cups
  • Onions - 1 big sized
  • Tomatoes - 3
  • Green chillies - 2 slit long
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • coconut milk - 1 cup
  • Lemon juice - 1/2 lemon
  • chilli powder - 1tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1tsp
  • Garam masala or Biryani masala powder - 1tsp
  • Cinnamon - 2 small size
  • Cardamom - 2
  • Cloves - 3
  • Bay leaf-2
  • cumin seeds - 1tsp
  • Mint leaves - a few
  • Coriander leaves - a few
  • Salt to taste
  • oil - 3 tbsp
  • water - 3 cups
Method
Clean and cut mushroom into 4 pieces
Wash rice and drain water and keep it aside for 20 mts
Heat oil in a pressure pan add Cardamom, Cinnamon,Cloves,Bay leaf and cumin seeds.
Add onion and fry till nice brown next add green chilli and ginger garlic paste saute for a minute until raw smell goes.
Then add Tomatoes fry till mashed and pulpy and water leaves out and oil floats on top.
Next add chopped mushroom and saute for 2 mts then add all masala powder and mix.immediately add the drained rice fry for a minute .
Add mint and coriander leaves and coconut milk and add 3 cups of water.
Add salt and lemon juice.
Reduce flame, cover and cook till done or if you want transfer into rice cooker till done.
Serve with raitha.
