Rava Kesari

Ingredients
  • Semolina/Ravai – 1 cup
  • Ghee – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 2 cups
  • Water – 3 cups
  • Cashew nuts – 10
  • Raisins -10
  • Cardamom -3-4 powdered
  • Kesari Powder –a pinch

Method
  1. Dry roast rava for a few seconds till it gets slightly heated. (Do not roast more than that)
  2. Heat a little ghee, fry cashew nuts, raisins and keep it aside.
  3. Add the remaining ghee, add rava and fry for a few minutes.
  4. Add 3 cups of boiling water to the rava and a pinch of kesari powder. Simmer and cook.
  5. After rava gets cooked, add sugar and mix well till it dissolves. Add cardamom powder.
  6. Garnish it with cashew nuts, raisins and serve.
